number 12

Dwight Howard. A six foot eleven inches,265 pound basketball phenom. He wins more than just on the court though. People love Dwight because he loves his fans mainly.*A side note: in general, people liked to be acknowledged, especially by a NBA starter.* You can read thousands of stories that fans have written to Dwight that he has personally responded to. He even tweeted back to Lauren! :)
Well, it just so happens that I had the most amazing privilege of seeing the Magic play the Hawks in Atlanta last week! I've been a fan of number 12 for a few years now and have always wanted to see him play. Fortunately, i know the right people...who can get you in for free! The game and everything that led up to it was so memorable! I took like a thousand pictures of Dwight and when i told my brother about it he called me "weird".
If you follow the NBA, then you already know the ending..the Magic lost at the buzzer. The loss wasn't actually so bad for the Magic though, because they still lead over the Hawks and will soon dominate the Mavs in Thursday night's game.

a new found love.

I truly do love Birmingham, Alabama. Though traffic on 280 makes me wish i rode a bicycle sometimes, this busy city has so much to offer! Great food, good shopping, THE ZOO, museums, venues, and amazing views! I sometimes tend to be negative about calling Birmingham home now, but i really have no reason to. Just this weekend I ate the most amazing sushi, saw the civil wars at work play, people-watched at innisfree, and then did some shopping!
On a not-so-happy note, I found out that the elephants, at the zoo, will not be ready till september!Luckily, I just so happen to be going to Africa this summer! What better of a place to see elephants than in their own homes? Anyway, more on that adventure to come.
I'm looking forward to another great weekend at home in birmingham beginning tomorrow! All my friends and family will be in town for sister-in-law's baby shower and my niece's dedication.

you can have whatever you like.

I must admit...I'm a blog virgin. I love reading
other blogs, but never considered having my own...so we will see how this goes in the months to come. My goal is to record my last year at the University of Alabama as I discover what lies next.
"You can have whatever you like" has been the theme of spring break '10. I am at the beach with my best friends! We have had an amazing past couple of days getting burned, working out, cooking, drinking wine, shopping, playing games, and of course, observing all the rednecks at the Flora-Bama (we are fortunate enough to be walking distance from that fine establishment)! You can't put a price on time spent with best friends! We all have such different personalities, which sometimes, can be conflicting. For example: tonight, some of us wanted seafood and others wanted country cooking. We ended up eating at Lambert's, which is more like a circus of food pranks, flirty waiters, throwed rolls, and unhealthily enormous amounts of fried foods. Needless to say, we ate way too much and left feeling overwhelmed by the "show" we had just been drug through. One thing we did all agree on was stopping at Target on the way home to pick up the essentials like shoes, pillows, and Nyquil.
Now we are lounging at the condo, enjoying a glass of wine. The best part of the story is, it's only Monday so we have an entire week left with not a thing on the agenda!
