Happy Labor Day

What a great weekend! The Tide won and I got to spend 24 hours with my beautiful niece Etta Kate!

Here's an update:

I'm still in the process of deciding whether the Lord wants me in South Africa or the USA after graduation in December. I have applied for the program in South Africa and am currently waiting to see if there will be a team sent there. I know that I have to hold on to my plans very loosely right now, but I am hopeful that I will be moving to SA in a few months. If there isn't a team sent there, I will gladly serve the Lord at the University of Alabama, working with Crusade.

Being a fifth year has been so much fun! I thought I would come back feeling old and out of place, but it's been just the opposite! Just the other night, Kelsey and I hopped the fence at Bryant-Denny, ran across the most beautiful football field in the country, and laid in the inzone as if we belonged there (I've got to admit, she had to talk me into it). This has long been on my bucket list of things to do before I graduate.

Ministry on campus as been going great too! I'm so excited to begin English class tomorrow! This is a time when international students can come and practice their English...it is also a time when we can get to know them better and possibly help them with their needs around campus or getting involved with a ministry.

Until next time,
k.
